TV24 Desk: BRAC Bank has launched an exclusive financial package for the members of the Bangladesh Association of Call Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) titled “PROBAHO”. ‘PROBAHO’ will support BACCO members with different facilities. It will provide better access to finance and support business expansion and fixed-asset purchases for the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms and other outsourcing organizations. PROBAHO will allow the eligible BCCO members to avail loans up to 1 crore taka. Women entrepreneurs of BACCO will get loans at a rate of 07 percent only.
Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Division, Mustafa Jabbar, inaugurated PROBAHO on a virtual program as the Chief Guest, held on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Appreciating this initiative, he said, “The BPO sector is playing an important role in implementing the dream of a Digital Bangladesh. I am sure that the PROBAHO package will play a vital part in bringing about a complete change in the BPO sector of the country by ensuring financial viability and inclusion.”

Towhid Hossain, Secretary-General of BACCO, in his welcome remarks, said, “PROBAHO will support the country’s BPO traders in overcoming the current financial crisis and support in creating new business opportunities.” BRAC Bank Head of SME Syed Abdul Momen made a presentation at the inauguration on the features and benefits of PROBAHO and described how the model will support the BACCO members. He said, “PROBAHO will help the BPO companies to explore the local and international markets and create new clients to expand their business.”

In the concluding remarks, BACCO President Wahid Sharif said: “BACCO has long been working to solve difficulties, including infrastructural development of its member organizations.
We are hopeful that our collaboration with BRAC Bank will facilitate better access to finance for our member institutions as well as enable them to experience quality banking services”.
